For first year admission applications:

Students must come under the following:

(1) A person who does not have Japanese citizenship. However, this excludes the visa status of “permanent resident”.

(2) A person who meets either (a) (b) or (c):

(a) A person who has completed 12 years of schooling in a foreign country (including those expected to finish by March 2025) and is eligible to enter a university in that country.

(b) A person who has been separately designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in a school course corresponding to higher education in a foreign country.

(c) A person who is recognized to have the same or higher academic ability as the above.

(3) A person who has, or can change to or renew, a status of residence of “student” at the time of enrollment.

(4) A person who has an appropriate level of Japanese language proficiency. (All classes are taught in Japanese.)

For third year admission applications:

Students must come under the following:

(1) A person who does not have Japanese citizenship. However, this excludes the visa status of “permanent resident”.

(2) A person who meets either (a) or (b):

(a) A person who has completed a 12-year course in school education in a foreign country and has completed a music specialty course of two years or more at a foreign university (including those expected to complete the course by March 2025).

(b) A person who is recognized to have the same or higher academic ability as the above.

(3) A person who has, or can change to or renew, a status of residence of “student” at the time of enrollment.

(4) A person who has an appropriate level of Japanese language proficiency. (All classes are taught in Japanese.)

Examination Dates: December 7 and 8, 2024

Application Dates:
Registration period on the website: 10:00, October 25 - 23:59, November 1, 2024.
By post：Must be postmarked on or after October 25
                Should arrive no later than November 5
Results Announcement Date: December 13, 2024
