Application Requirements
Requirements for First-Year Applicants
Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
- (1) Non-Japanese nationality. However, non-Japanese nationals residing in Japan with Permanent Resident status are not eligible.

Applicants must meet one of the following three requirements.
- (a) They have or will have completed 12 years of basic school education by March 2027 in countries other than Japan and are eligible to enter university.
- (b) They are attending educational institutions in countries other than Japan, which are designated by the Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as higher education schools.
- (c) They are recognized as having academic ability equivalent to or higher than the above.
- (3) Applicants must have, or be able to change to or renew, a status of residence of “Student” at the time of enrollment.
- (4) Applicants must have sufficient Japanese language proficiency to undertake university studies. All teaching is done in Japanese.
Requirements for Third-Year Transfer Applicants
Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
- (1) Non-Japanese nationality. However, non-Japanese nationals residing in Japan with Permanent Resident status are not eligible.

Applicants must meet either of the following two requirements.
- (a) They have or will have completed 12 years of basic school education and two years of university-level education majoring in music in countries other than Japan by March 2027.
- (b) They have academic ability equivalent to or higher than the above.
- (3) Applicants must have, or be able to change to or renew, a status of residence of “Student” at the time of enrollment.
- (4) Applicants must have sufficient Japanese language proficiency to undertake university studies. All teaching is done in Japanese.

- Examination Dates: October 24–25, 2026
- Examination Venue: Musashino Academia Musicae Ekoda Campus

- Online Application Registration Period: From 10:00, September 23, 2026 to 23:59, September 30, 2026(JST)
- Application Documents Submission Period (by mail only): Documents must be postmarked on or after September 23, 2026, and must arrive by October 2, 2026.
- Announcement of Results: November 2, 2026
Application Period B:
- Examination Dates: December 12-13, 2026
- Examination Venue: Musashino Academia Musicae Ekoda Campus
