Application Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following four conditions:
(1) Nationality: Applicants must not hold Japanese citizenship. (Note: Individuals with "Permanent Resident" status in Japan are not eligible.)
(2) Academic Eligibility: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
(a) Have completed, or be expected to complete by March 2026, a 16-year program of formal school education in a country other than Japan.
(b) Have been awarded a degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree upon completion of a program of three years or more at a university or other institution of higher learning in a foreign country (including those expected to be awarded a degree by March 2026).
(c) Be recognized as having academic abilities equivalent to or greater than those who meet the criteria listed above.
(3) Residency Status: Applicants must be able to obtain, change to, or renew their status of residence to "Student" by the time of enrollment.
(4) Japanese Language Proficiency: Applicants must possess a level of Japanese language proficiency sufficient for pursuing their studies and research at this Graduate School. (Note: All classes are conducted in Japanese, and the degree thesis must also be written in Japanese.)

Examination Dates: December 6 and 7, 2025
Examination Venue: Musashino Academia Musicae, Ekoda Campus
Application Period:
Online Application: From 10:00 on October 16 to 23:59 on October 23, 2025 (JST).
Application by Mail: Must be postmarked on or after October 16 and must be received by October 25, 2025.
Announcement of Results: December 11, 2025
