Admissions Policy
Musashino Academia Musicae seeks individuals who embrace the university's founding spirit of "'Wa' (Harmony)" and its educational principles of "the Cultivation of Musical Artistry" and "Character Formation." Through our admissions process, we select those who, in addition to sharing these values, possess the following qualities:
1. Individuals who demonstrate a sincere commitment to pursuing advanced knowledge and skills in the field of musical arts.
2. Individuals who possess a broad perspective and the qualities necessary to engage in creative performance and research activities.
3. Individuals who exhibit a richness of character befitting those who study under the university's founding spirit and educational principles.

Application Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
1. Hold a master's degree, or be expected to earn one by March 2026.
2. Have completed a program at an educational institution in a foreign country and have been awarded a degree recognized as equivalent to or higher than a master's degree (including those who are expected to complete their program by March 2026).
3. Have been designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT).
4. Be at least 24 years of age and have been recognized by this Graduate School, through an individual eligibility assessment, as possessing academic abilities equivalent to or greater than those of a master's degree holder.
Examination Schedule and Venue
Examination Dates: March 8 and 9, 2026
Examination Venue: Musashino Academia Musicae, Ekoda Campus
Exam subjects:
Foreign languages, tests specific to research areas, oral examinations, interviews.
Application Period:
Online Application: From 10:00 on February 3 to 23:59 on February 10, 2026 (JST).
Application by Mail: Must be postmarked on or after February 3 and must be received by February 12, 2026.
Announcement of Results: March 12, 2026
